The Optician Behind the Curtain
My name is James, and I’ve spent over 20 years in optics — in labs, on retail floors, and at counters where people are too often told they “have to” buy something new. I’m an ABOC Licensed Optician and a Certified Lab Technician (or as I prefer to say: a fully qualified Lens Wizard).
Over the years I’ve learned this: people don’t need pressure or sales pitches. They need clear choices, honest guidance, and someone who actually cares about their vision.
That’s why I started MyGlasses. I love glasses. I love your glasses. I love making them better. I love the moment when someone puts on their fresh lenses and the world snaps into focus. That’s why I’m here.
Right now, I’m cutting, checking, and tuning lenses myself. As the workshop grows, more hands will join — but they’ll all be trained in the same way: respect the frame, honor the craft, and never let anything leave without wizard approval.
